Description

The Wordsworth Trust has been celebrating the life and Poetry of William Wordsworth since 1891. It is now developing ambitious plans to make it possible for even more people to discover one of greatest poets. The Trust is looking for a Cost Consultant who will demonstrate an understanding of the special nature of this project and has significant experience working on heritage properties.
A track record delivering HLF funded programmes will be an important consideration in the selection process.
It is envisaged that the Cost Consultant will begin work in December 2016. A Master Programme has been appended to this brief to provide an overview of the planned development of the project.
Proposals shall be based on the attached programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to create a completely new interpretation of a unique literary heritage site, a poet's home with internationally important collections in the heart of the Lake District, and to help fulfil Wordsworth's own hope: that his poetry make us 'wiser, better, happier'. A full brief is attached as invitation to tender.
