Description
1. Overview
The works comprise the supply and installation of steel sheet piling to support temporary and permanent structures across the A66 NTP Project, BBA Section 3b.
2. Detailed Scope
2.1 Supply of Materials
The Contractor shall supply:
• Steel sheet piles in various profile sizes, complete with corrosion protection and cut to length requirements.
2.2 Installation of Sheet Piles
The Contractor shall undertake:
• Pile installation works including driving, vibration, pre drilling, cutting, interlock connections, tie rods, waling and bracing systems.
• Removal of sheet piles upon completion of works.
2.3 Associated Works
The Contractor shall complete associated activities including:
• Pile guide frames
• Dewatering screens
• Structural support components
2.4 Pre Construction & Site Activities
Activities include:
• Mobilisation and site establishment
• Setting out
• QA testing
• Preparation of record drawings and certification
2.5 Coordination Requirements
The Contractor shall coordinate with related project disciplines including foundations, drainage and earthworks teams.

4. Key Supplier Requirements
The Contractor must:
• Demonstrate capability to manage CDM and SHES risks
• Provide method statements, vibration and noise mitigation plans
• Coordinate closely with Temporary Works Designers
• Collaborate with the Balfour Beatty site and engineering teams
• Submit all required QA documentation, including testing and certification evidence
