Description

The Council has a statutory duty to provide building/premises compliance and maintenance to ensure the safe use of office and public accessible buildings. This primarily involves the maintenance of and repairs to properties, and plant and equipment within those buildings.
The Council has some responsibility for approximately 99 premises, car parks and electrical installations across the North Herts District. The majority of the compliance works are provided to 48 of these assets (premises etc) which are located within the major urban centres.

The Council intends to procure a multi-supplier Framework Agreement divided into three Lots. The Lots are defined as follows:

Lot 1: Mechanical and Multiskilled Maintenance Tasks
Lot 2: Electrical Maintenance Tasks
Lot 3: Fire Safety Equipment Maintenance Tasks

Potential Suppliers may bid for one or all Lots. No more than five Suppliers will be appointed to any Lot.

This Framework Agreement is reserved for Small Medium Enterprises (SME). The definition of SME can be found at Section 465 of the Companies Act 2006. No bids from consortia or groups will be accepted.
