Description

Growing the Green Economy in West Yorkshire - Associate Advisor

Green Economy are proud to be part of the Growth Company (GC). The Growth Company is a social enterprise, that delivers skills, employment, consultancy, and business support services across the UK - with the aim of enabling growth, creating jobs, and improving lives.

Green Economy have been commissioned by West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) through UK Shared Prosperity Funding (UK SPF) to deliver business growth support to green tech businesses or those looking to diversify into the sector based in the 5 local authority areas of the region. In collaboration with our project partner MCS (Microgeneration Certified Scheme), the UK's leading standards organisation for the small-scale renewables market, this project will provide specialist support and advice to businesses, establishing a robust, competitive supply chain that will enable WY businesses to transition to net zero with local, trusted partners.

The project is made up of the four core components, which:
• stimulate innovation;
• support the adoption of new products and services;
• build a community of installers/suppliers;
• help WYCA to tackle the climate emergency.
