Description

Please find below the Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation with the following enclosed documents for you to submit a Tender for the Fire Extinguisher Equipment Maintenance contract for the University of Salford.

Requirements - The work shall include annual/6 monthly Inspection & maintenance visits of Fire Extinguisher and Dry Riser Equipment as identified within the Schedule.

The maintenance and testing should include all elements contained within Maintenance Schedule and in accordance with BS5306 and the manufacturers recommendations and any other item or circumstances related to operational safety and efficiency of the equipment.

The Contractor and their employees will be appropriately registered under the BAFE SP101 combined quality scheme for fire extinguisher maintenance.

On completion of the Maintenance Service visit, Equipment Service Reports for each building to be provided together with any prioritised maintenance and safety issues, urgent works and recommendations for additional works, in both hard copy and electronic pdf file format to be submitted to the Head of Maintenance.

The contractor will within the contract sum attend site and any contract progress meetings as required to manage the contract effectively.

The University would like the contractor to provide a proposal to barcode all appliances in use at the University and supply and maintain a schedule of the barcodes, the proforma of which will be supplied by the University so that each appliance and its location can be readily recognised by the barcode. The University for its part will then maintain the barcoding and schedule of equipment that it replaces from its stock. All barcoding software to be supplied and maintained by the contractor.
