Description

RBFRS require a location to accommodate our Module 2 Water Rescue training and assessment programme. This programme incorporates initial acquisition, revalidation and coaching over a rolling 5 years programme, ensuring that all operational staff (up to the rank of GMA) employed with RBFRS maintain their knowledge and skills in the relative qualification.

This programme satisfies the criteria as laid down in the Department of Environmental Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) document titled Flood Rescue Concept of Operations (FRCONOP) and aligns with the relevant National Operational Guidance (NOG) concerning rescues from water.

RBFRS requires the Bidder to be able to support and satisfy them that any designs agreed can withstand hydrological features recommended for Module 2 training requirements.

The venue should be able to supply water for up to Class 2 conditions or equivalent for both Module 2 refresher and initial training courses.

Mod 2 - The water must be appropriate to the limits of wading and rescuing with suitable and appropriate hydrology features in Class 2 water.

All hydrology features must be fit for purpose and serviceable. Water flow must be controllable, and a safe system of work in place to control flow rate and in the case of an emergency stop and empty all water within a short time.
