Description

The Tyne and Wear Urban Traffic Management Control (UTMC) facility, operates a network of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras on behalf of the North East Joint Transport Committee. The joint committee incorporates both the North East and North of Tyne Combined Authorities and is utilised to derive journey times and generate Origin and Destination (O and D) matrixes.
