Brief Description of Requirement:

The Gemini laser system is an ultra-high intensity Titanium Sapphire laser, which uses several multi-pass amplifier stages to achieve its final output energy level.

There is a requirement to increase the output energy of one of those amplifier stages from 1.0J to >2.0J. The amplifier stage is currently driven by 4 off flash lamp pumped Nd:YAG laser systems delivering a total pump energy of ~4.0J.

We are therefore seeking to replace these lasers with systems capable of delivering >7.0J energy.
