Description

The University is seeking tenders from highly experienced International Study Tour Specialists (the Provider) to deliver two separate study tours under the terms of this ITT. One trip shall form part of the compulsory curriculum for the full-time MBA programme - Module FMBA555 International Business in Context. The other trip shall be an elective module (EMBA580 International Business in Context) for Executive MBA students from three different locations (UK, Ghana, Malaysia). Both are credit carrying academic units of the programme. The link for the programmes can be found at www.lancaster.ac.uk/MBA.

Candidates bidding for this role will have relevant expertise and a proven track record of facilitating/organising similar study tour programmes for MBA students, or for managers in corporate businesses.

The Full Time MBA: an Overview
Offering a truly transformational experience, the Lancaster full-time MBA is a one-year programme in the UK, in which students live and study alongside experienced and ambitious professionals from all over the world. Through a mix of learning opportunities - in the classroom and in organisations - students explore what it really means to be a strategic leader, and at the end of the year, they emerge more aware, more confident and more capable, ready for the next step in their career. The student population is diverse in terms of age, gender, work experience, culture, language skills, educational background and family status. The programme team works hard to promote and support this diverse community of learners and to deliver a programme that is sensitive to their differing needs along with a delivery team that is equally diverse.

The Executive MBA: an Overview
The Executive MBA programme focuses on enhancing the knowledge, understanding and capability of experienced managers. The programme prepares managers for senior leadership roles by developing an advanced, holistic understanding of organisations, and a personal ability to think strategically about a range of complex issues. Students gain an appreciation of the complexity of the business environment, and increase their capability to operate across functional boundaries and at a strategic level.
The programme provides a comprehensive grounding in general management and strategic thinking.

International Business in Context: an Overview
The International Business in Context module is an opportunity for MBA students to gain a deep understanding of how business is done in a location/country that is unfamiliar to them. The module is an immersive experience into a new culture. This includes a series of talks that introduce the macro economic, political/Government and business perspectives. Students visit a number of companies during the module, and gain important cultural insights from talks and visits. These talks and visits have to be appropriate for the senior managers we have on our programme, e.g. talks from senior bus...
