Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) is seeking to engage a suitably qualified consultant to undertake a technical cost appraisal of the proposed scheme involving the construction of the Shakespeare North Playhouse, situated in Prescot, Liverpool.
Working hand in hand with Regeneris who are already appointed to lead this appraisal exercise and Ricardo Gomez and Imran Hashmi from that organisation, you are, hereby, invited to bid for such work which requires you to provide specialist expertise in relation to the construction related elements of this exercise.
Background Information
To provide some background information, the proposed Shakespeare North Playhouse is currently estimated as likely to cost approximately £24.8m and, for this investment, will provide a bold, new theatre for the Liverpool City Region placing the global 'Shakespeare' brand at the heart of the Region's Cultural Regeneration programme. It brings a uniqueness to the region's cultural offer, as part of the Northern Powerhouse, which will attract visitors from across the globe. Based in Prescot, Shakespeare North Playhouse will offer an authentic 350 seat reproduction Jacobean theatre at its heart together with an international education campus for Shakespearean practice and performance, an Exhibition and Education Centre, visitor facilities and a valuable community hub. Its planned opening in 2020 will serve as a catalyst for regeneration, building confidence and pride of place.
