Description

The GPhC is looking to identify a supplier that can define, specify, implement and manage a Microsoft Lync based phone system to meet all of our current and future requirements. There is also a requirement for an integrated solution for a small contact centre.
The GPhC is the independent regulator for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy premises in Great Britain. In order to practise in Great Britain pharmacists and pharmacy technicians must be registered with us. Currently, there are approximately 45,000 registered pharmacists, 20,000 pharmacy technicians and 13,500 pharmacy premises. More information on the General Pharmaceutical Council can be found on www.pharmacyregulation.org.
The GPhC has approximately 170 staff currently (expected to rise) with 130 office based (12 within a contact centre) and 40 home based.
The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) has its Headquarters in Lambeth. Currently it occupies space in two buildings, and will be relocating to a new location in the middle of next year. This is seen as an ideal opportunity to replace the existing legacy phone system and to take advantage of the innovations now available.
The GPhC employed an independent consultant to look at their business requirements and technical infrastructure to recommend a solution that would meet their current and future requirements.
The recommendation was that given the GPhC's continuing investment in the Microsoft stack, a Microsoft Lync solution would be the best fit.
Potential bidders must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in undertaking this type of work, and organisations wishing to express an interest in this should request a pre-qualification questionnaire via email to procurement@pharmacyregulation.org including the following information; Contact name, title within organisation, email address and contact telephone number and for all correspondence the full name of the organisation. Deadline for receipt of request is 11/10/2013.
To ensure all communication is dealt with in a timely manner all contact should be directed through the stated email address. Alternatively, your interest may be expressed via the mytenders website as shown below.
