Description
The Contract is for the operation of the 10 core Authority owned Facilities detailed below. The Contract also includes a requirement for the Operator to have an Active Communities Partnership role within the County. The Services Specification includes further details of specific facility areas within the Facilities.
Ashington Leisure Centre, Ashington - wet and dry leisure centre, soft play including an NCC library which opened in 2016.
Berwick Sports and Leisure Facility, Berwick - wet and dry leisure centre including indoor bowls, soft play and full size 3G pitch which opened in 2021.
Blyth Sports Centre, Blyth - wet and dry leisure centre including large soft play which was originally built in 1967 and has undergone a recent refurbishment completed in 2022.
Concordia Leisure Centre, Cramlington - wet and dry leisure centre with leisure pool, ten-pin bowling, clip and climb and large soft play facilities which was originally built in 1977 and has undergone a refurbishment completed in 2022.
New Morpeth Leisure Centre, Morpeth - wet and dry leisure centre, currently under construction, opening 2023.
Newbiggin Sports and Community Hub, Newbiggin - dryside facility with connected NCC library provision which was originally built in 1973 and has undergone a refurbishment completed in 2022.
Ponteland Leisure Centre, Ponteland - wet and dry leisure centre, co-located with a primary and secondary school and NCC library, including climb and climb and outdoor pitches which opened in 2020.
Prudhoe Water World, Prudhoe - wet and dry leisure centre with leisure pool and soft play which was built in 1990.
Wentworth Leisure Centre, Hexham - wet and dry leisure centre including ten pin bowling large soft play and athletics track which opened following a major extension in 2008.
Willowburn Sport and Leisure Centre, Alnwick - wet and dry leisure centre including bouldering wall and large soft play which was originally built in 2003.

Northumberland County Council Headquarters, County Hall, Morpeth, NE61 2EF. Those
