Description

Doncaster Borough Council invites tenders for experienced providers to provide a support service at Doncaster Foyer for 16 to 25 years olds.

Doncaster Foyer forms part of Doncaster's Resettlement Pathway for people experiencing (or at risk of) homelessness including those with complex needs.

The accommodation supplied is a 40 unit purpose built Foyer style accommodation facility in Doncaster City centre. The Registered Housing Provider of the accommodation is Salvation Army Housing Association.

There may be Individuals placed within the Service via Doncaster's Childrens social care teams and Early Help. Referrals from social care will receive the same support, access and opportunities within Doncaster Foyer as those placed by the Single Point of Access (SPOA). There will be no distinction in the support provided. The Council will cover the accommodation related costs such as rent and Service charge if Housing Benefit / Universal Credit is not applicable.

The Provider will offer a safe, supportive environment and be committed to providing a sensitive, non-judgemental and non-oppressive support Service.
The Provider will need to clearly demonstrate a commitment to increasing the Individual's academic achievement, training and employment opportunities and support Individual's to make a successful transition to sustainable independent living.

The Provider will be an accredited member of the Foyer Federation or achieve full accreditation within 12 months of Services Commencement Date. See link for further detail: https://www.foyer.net/pages/accreditation

It is anticipated that the contract will commence on 01 April 2023 and run until 31/03/2026. There is also an option to extend the contract by up to further 2 X 12 months at the sole discretion of the council.
