Description

The council therefore requires the services of a competent, reputable and financially sound civil and structural engineering consultancy to join our Design Team for this redevelopment project, undertaking engineering design and providing structural and engineering services, for the following:

o Detailed civil engineering design of all drainage including Foul Sewers and Surface Water Sewer to comply with SuDS. This will have deliverables of Foul Drainage Design & Drawings and Storm Drainage Design & Drawings, approved by the statutory undertaker, Thames Water. Drawings will need to be at 'approval level' only but sufficient to meet the legal requirements of both authorities. A sewer diversion is expected.

o The provision of a Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy for site B, to supplement the previously approved Drainage Strategy of the 'Hybrid Consent.' The consultant will need to fully understand the wider estate drainage and flood management dialogue with Thames Water. Full details of this will be supplied.

o Liaising with the statutory bodies, including Surrey County council and Thames Water, as necessary.

o The supply of all the performance / specification drawings, adoption plans and other technical information to achieve a technical sign-off for the s278 / s38 'Mini Agreement' between the Waverley Borough council and Surrey County council. The appointee will be encouraged to develop a productive dialogue with the Surrey County council as soon as an appointment is made and to drive the achievement of these approvals in a pro-active manner.

o The provision of a Transport Assessment for Site B, with reference to the previously approved Transport Assessment of the 'Hybrid Consent.'

o Any other such services as are required to meet these deliverables, to include the provision of scaled drawings and plans to support the council's application for a Stopping up Order by its lawyers, in due course
