Description

This course is designed for participants who wish to improve their GCSE grades in either Maths or English or both subjects.

Prior to starting the programme potential participants must undertake an initial assessment to establish levels of ability, areas to focused on and learning styles. The course should then concentrate on the relevant topics and delivered on a 1-2-1 basis.

Service Provider must be registered with an appropriate awarding body and be responsible for the cost of registration and certificates for participants.

Service provider must provide evidence of relevant qualifications for tutors who will be delivering the subjects.

Where possible there should be continuity of tutors/participants.

Schemes of work, lesson plans and work books to be developed and provided by the service provider for participants.

At the beginning of each session discussion should take place around the lesson plan and feedback delivered at the end. On-going assessments to take place throughout the course.

Paper based and online mock exams to take place.

Sessions should be delivered between 2 - 4 days per week, 10am - 4pm. 16 - 20 weeks (Minimum 120 GLH)


Providers should demonstrate their extensive expertise and experience of working with and delivering courses to eligible 15-29 year olds who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) across the Black Country.
