1927/371/MY/AMRC/18 High Pressure CO2 Coolant System with Minimum Quantity Lubrication Ability
The AMRC requires delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of a system to provide high pressure CO2 and MQL coolant to an existing machine, with the outcome of reducing tool wear and/or allowing for more aggressive/faster cuts.
The system should be externally connected and should be supplied with its own base. The system should allow the machine to alternate between traditional emulsion through tool coolant and through tool supply of CO2 with minimum intervention.
The Cooling System shall be fitted onto a Cincinnati H5-800MT Geminex 5-Axis which is currently undergoing an upgrade at the AMRC's nominated supplier, Machine Tool Technologies Limited ( MTT ) -at the address below:

It is desired that the coolant system will be fitted during the upgrade at MTT's premises.
The successful Tenderer will be required to co-ordinate with MTT and all other interested stakeholders to ensure that all necessary arrangements are established for completion of the project in the following phases:
Phase One:
Delivery, installation and commissioning of the coolant system fitted to the Cincinnati H5-800MT Geminex 5-Axis.
On completion of commissioning, testing to be conducted to confirm the system is operating correctly.
Final acceptance by University.
Phase Two:
On final acceptance, the Tenderer shall decommission the equipment, any Rotary Union etc shall remain in place within the Cincinnati machine.
The Tenderer to remove and store at own premises and cost, pending re-commissioning at Phase Three of the project.
Phase Three:
In collaboration with MTT and the Purchase, co-ordinate the delivery of the coolant system at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre
Delivery, Installation, Testing, Re-Commissioning at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Park, Catcliffe, Rotherham.
Final Acceptance by the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre
The price submitted should take into account all costs incurred for full turnkey provision, at all at all phases of the project and shall include any transportation and storage costs that may be incurred.
