Description

Sheffield City Council (the Council) is conducting this preliminary market consultation to understand the supply market's ability to deliver supported accommodation for households that are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The Council is exploring options for supported accommodation delivered by registered providers of social housing that meet the needs of the diverse range of customers that we work with who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness. To meet our strategic objectives, we are seeking to understand whether there are registered providers of social housing that can fulfil our requirements to deliver short term, supported accommodation within Sheffield. This may be delivered by one provider or multiple providers via multiple lots. We are looking for partners who are willing and able to deliver or work in partnership to deliver the following; Model • Rapid and Short term supported housing for a diverse range of support needs and cohorts, with the aim of prompt engagement to undertake assessment of need and support to move on to longer term placements and/or accommodation. • Consistently high-quality support to residents that helps to mitigate the impact of homelessness and empowers them to promptly find meaningful and long-term solutions for their housing needs. • A mixed model of accommodation and support to fulfil emergency accommodation, assessment units and supported units, which may be provided by one or multiple providers. Some of these units may be used for 'respite' to identify and implement solutions that enables a planned return to the principal home. • Rapid Rehousing units that are available for immediate occupancy on referral from homelessness services 24/7 and 365 days a year. • A personalised, trauma informed support model with a particular emphasis on homelessness prevention and sustainable move on placements, to reduce future presentations.
