Description

The Alder and Oak Unit Cell Call System was reported to be installed in the 1980s and the system is now obsolete due to the lack of spare parts to maintain. The works will consist of a total replacement of the cell call system in the Alder and Oak units and to link all the house units cell call systems back to the main communications room in the gatehouse to provide full monitoring and for communication purposes. The works are to be delivered in line with UK government specification guidelines and Ministry of Justice standards.

A constructor has been appointed for the design and build of the project.

This is a two stage Design and Build Contract let under the PPC2000 (Amended 2013) Form of contract.

It is expected that the total construction cost of the project will be £2,835,843.


The first stage will involve the constructor providing Pre-construction surveys and design services at a cost of £376,825.05.
