Description

The special dispersions or molecular solutions (nanomaterials, OLED, LEECs or biological target molecules) need to be delivered at the surface in highly controlled ways; in terms of both amount and position. Often, these formulations are often sensitive to mechanical damage such as comminution for particles or under high shear conditions or molecular breakage for polymer or large biomolecules (proteins, DNA etc.) by the printing process which is being used. Gentler forms of dispensing are therefore increasingly needed as the diversity of materials expands. Digital deposition techniques offer both rapid prototyping capabilities alongside low and medium production capacity. These are required more and more by CPI PE's SME client list who prefer to develop proof of concept devices and iron out fabrication issues before embarking on full production runs.
