Description

Highfield Country Park is a 70-acre area of open land, situated on the east side of the ward of Levenshulme.  The area has historically been a landfill site but was capped off over 20 years ago and is now a thriving nature reserve, well used by the local community. 

The project is needed to ensure the site is brought up to a high standard, to reduce the impact of flooding, to improve facilities and offer greater accessibility. 

The purpose of the project is to utilise S106 developer contributions for the benefit of local residents in improving the services within the vicinity of Highfield Country Park. This project is to improve the standard of the park infrastructure in the following ways;
