Item Description

This Tender specification is for a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), with a movement range of of 900mm x 2000mm x 600mm.

Key Features & Capabilities

• Movement Range - Minimum of X 900mm, Y 2000mm, Z 600mm
• Measurement scale resolution - 1 micron or better.
• Thermal compensation - The machine should have a built in Thermal management system including a sensor for the workpiece and on machine temperature measurement to allow compensation to 20 deg C
• Included components - Ceramic Masterball for calibration of probes.
Clamping/tooling kit compatible with the machine table fixings.
• PC Specification - Windows 7 with a high enough spec to operate all required CMM software.
• Other equipment - Printer and, desk for PC.
• Optical vision Probe system, Hardware & Software- Fully automated Class 2 laser, white LED illuminated Camera which must be optically focused with interchangeable lens of various magnifications. Camera must come with its own software which performs automatic edge detection that communicates with the standard machine measurement software. Automatic changing between probe and camera.
• Probe System- Must include an Industry standard motorised indexable head with Probe Quill adapter and an Industry standard M3 thread type styli kit.
• Probe accessories-Must include Industry standard Probe Change Rack and a compatible Modular Rack System to include 2 off Industry standard racks with appropriate legs and rails.

Installation to be completed at Daresbury Lab in pre-prepared air conditioned room by the end of February 2017.
