Description

As owners and operators of the Haste Hill Golf Course the London Borough of Hillingdon are seeking to replace the current golf course irrigation system with a complete new system. The Council are seeking to employ a skilled irrigation contractor, with specific golf course irrigation expertise, to undertake a 'Design and Build' contract installation.

It is expected that the successful contractor will have substantial experience in the field of golf course irrigation design, installation and operational maintenance. The Council will be looking for a contractor who can provide the best designed, engineered and installed solution. It is most likely that this contractor will offer a value engineering approach to the provision of the irrigation system.

A projected likely contract commencement date of December 2015 has been identified. This date must be able to be met by the successful contractor who will also provide a project programme with a continuous working practice to the installation, commissioning and contract completion. As this is a public golf course the course will remain open throughout the irrigation installation period. (Provision will be made for temporary greens to be used where the contractor is installing Greens irrigation).

The successful contractor will demonstrate best value and quality for their irrigation system. The Council has certain criteria that it wishes to have built into its irrigation system and these criteria are outlined in the following irrigation system specification. While the Council are looking for value engineered solutions to this contract, bidding contractors should design and build their systems and bid prices around the specification that canbe found in capitalEsourcing.

This contract has not been divided into Lots as it is not deemed viable by the Council to do so. It consists of an all encompassing three phase project which is required to be carried out by the successful contractor to ensure continuity or work through from design to completion.
