Description

3 x new methane analyser (LI-7700) and mounting as part of the eddy covariance (EC) flux station are required to measure methane flux data, alongside water vapour and carbon dioxide gas concentrations, for project 07977. The LI-COR Biosciences UK Ltd. (LI-COR) LI-7700 instrument is essential for enabling the continuation of comparable long-term measurements and is the only instrument compatible for this application. Regular soft testing of the market shows the LI-7700 is the only sensor currently available at this price point which does not require access to mains electrical power, which is not available at the remote field monitoring sites for this project.
