Description

The Secretary of State for the Home Department (the "Authority"), acting through the Interpersonal Abuse Unit, intends to make an amount up to £800,000 over two years (financial years 2023/24 and 2024/25) of grant funding available. The intention is to fund approximately 3 separate Recipients. Tackling VAWG is a top Government priority. This funding will deliver on commitments and ambition within the Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy 2021 and the Tackling Domestic Abuse Plan 2022. A key pillar in both the Tackling VAWG Strategy and the Tackling Domestic Abuse Plan is to transform the whole of society's response when supporting victims. Our ambition through this competition is to identify and fund best-in-class organisations able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

• Either have established, or a clear plan to establish, routes into the community of smaller / specialist providers, support relevant victims, in order to build capacity and capability.
• Be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of relevant quality standards and how these will be enhanced and disseminated to ensure a consistently high-quality service.
• Demonstrate experience in research and implementation of innovative solutions of delivering support (this to reduce levels of unmet demand.)
• Applicants or the Lead Partner in a consortium must be able to evidence specialist knowledge of sexual violence.
