WP12.10 Statutory and Wayshowing Signage

Scope of work:
WP12.10 Statutory and Wayshowing Signage consists of the design for construction and manufacture, supply, installation and assurance of signage to HS2 Station areas, the Conventional Station and Shared Accommodation Building (SAB). The scope of this package includes the following:
• Locations:
(i) Conventional Station including Platforms 1 to 8, the East & West Escape Cores;
(ii) Shared Accommodation Building (SAB) Basement, Ground, First & Second Floors;
(iii) HS2 Station including Platforms 9 to 14 and the East, West Central Cores; and
(iv) Ancillary Buildings, including North and South Portals.
• Elements: Statutory and Wayshowing signage as below:
(i) Fire safety signage (escape signage & fire cabinet signage) covering FOH and BOH areas;
(ii) Conventional Station overhead Line Wires (OLE) warning signage;
(iii) Wayshowing signage covering FOH areas, BOH areas;
(iv) Ancillary Buildings statutory signage including fire exit and wayfinding; and
(v) Other statutory signage including door signage.
• Design Development: Prepare the design for Construction and Manufacture, including detailed plans, typical elevations, general arrangements, and signage schedule. These drawings should encompass all necessary interface and connection details, ancillary elements and products to meet the prescribed performance requirements.
• Samples and Prototypes: Provide samples as deemed necessary to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards.
• Material Supply and Installation: Supply all required materials, labour, supervision, plant, and equipment for construction in accordance with the approved design.
• Assurance and Certification: Generate and supply comprehensive assurance documentation.
• Coordination: Ensure coordination with various substrates, and other finishes to achieve integration within the overall project.

About the buyer's selection process:
Respondents to this opportunity should be advised that shortlisted applicants will be invited to tender through an external ERP system.

The exact scoring criteria are currently being developed by BBVS, and shortlisted suppliers will be invited to register for the ERP system in due course.

What is clear at this stage is that tenders will be scored competitively across a range of criteria, such as, but not limited to: HSEQ, Commercial, Programme, Methodology (particularly with working in a track environment).
