Description

The Generation UK campaign, launched by the British Council in 2013, supports and encourages the outward mobility of British students to China. It directly advances the UK government commitment to a Global Britain and is supported by all four UK administrations. It is one of the UK's largest outward mobility campaigns, beyond Europe.

Generation UK aims to develop a generation of young people who can drive forward the UK's bilateral relationship with China through study and work opportunities. The campaign represents a strategic investment in the UK's global competitiveness, as well as in the social mobility, employability and language ability of the participants. As part of the campaign, Generation UK provides specific funded opportunities for young people from the UK to intern in China through Generation UK branded programmes. The British Council China will provide funding for a fixed number of students to participate on the British Council Generation UK internship programme.

It is the intention of the British Council to find a framework of suppliers throughout China to work with on this programme.
