Description

Watford Borough Council is seeking a Contractor to demolish its property at 524 St Albans Road (Le Marie Centre).

The Council requires the Contractor to act as the Principle Contractor for the demolition

A brief summary of the works for the Contractor is:
-Submit the section 80 Demolition notice,
-Remove green waste to facilitate demolition works,
-Make the site secure - erect demolition protection scaffolding (supported with design and calculations),
-Demolish existing building within the site boundary,
-Remove hardstanding, foundations, to ensure that there is minimum waste to landfill (a local recycling facility or make arrangements). Waste includes tarmac and general waste.
-Concrete from the demolition to be crushed on site and spread evenly across the site.
-The site is expected to be left clean and tidy with issuing health and safety file upon completion.
-Provide all appropriate Site Management, labour resource and plant and Equipment for the Demolition.
The Contractor will be required to make appropriate logistics arrangements and develop an access and egress plan and perform works in harmony with local neighbours and businesses including the North Watford Library.
