Description

- Cadent Gas Diversion Works
o The procurement of pipeline and fittings in line with AFC design drawings.
o Excavating trial holes at each of the connection points and confirming that adequate space exists to undertake the connection works as per the AFC design.
o Excavation of the service trench between the southern end of the UTX and the southern point of connection.
o Excavation of the service trench between the north end of the UTX, across to the footpath of Old Oak Common Lane, heading north along the footpath to the northern point of connection.
o Excavation of service trench across Old Oak Common Lane, from the 250mm diversion route over to the point of connection on the 125mm main on Wells House Lane.
o Installation of 450mm steel sleeve through the length of the UTX.
o Welding and installation of all pipework required for the diversion
o The testing and commissioning of the newly installed main.
o Gaining approval for the RO from Cadent Gas
o Undertaking the RO in order to connect in the diverted pipework as per the AFC drawings. A double bag stop, and bypass pipe will be required at either end of the diversion in order to keep the system live while the connection work is undertaken.
o The decommissioning for the redundant pipeline and producing a purged certificate for the redundant pipework remaining in the ground.
o The backfill and reinstatement of the ground back to original ground level.

Suppliers will be required to have Constructionline Gold verification.
If shortlisted, suppliers will be required to complete our internal PQQ form.
The bids will be scored with a balanced scorecard approach that includes scoring on experience, resource, sustainability, health & safety, quality, and social value amongst other elements.

VolkerFitzpatrick have undertaken numerous major infrastructure projects across the UK such as HS2, Wembley Olympic Way, Stansted Airport, Brent Cross West Station and RAF bases Lossiemouth and Lakenheath.

This overall project is working for BBVS JV at the Old Oak Common Station site. VF are undertaking the bridge demolition and replacement for the bridges over Old Oak Common Lane and the Central Line. VF will also be doing the temporary and permanent road lowering at Old Oak Common Lane. The overall programme is 2022-2028, to be done in 3 stages.
