Description

The Materials Innovation Factory (MIF) is a £68m development within the University of Liverpool Campus. Located in the heart of the Knowledge Quarter it will, on completion, be a world leading centre for Computer Aided Materials Science (CAMS) and house world leading academics working alongside industrial partners. Key to the success of the project are two large open access laboratories on the ground floor with a range of automated formulation and measurement platforms and a suite of analytical equipment. Underpinning all of this is a scientific data management system, known as Para∞DIME, which will automate data capture from all devices to single database where it can be consolidated in a searchable format. This will allow future researchers to interrogate the data and extract all the manipulations and measurements on a single sample. Future development of this system is expected to enable users to preload experiments through a web-based GUI.
Focus has now moved to the analytical equipment and this tender will deal with the procurement of Contact Angle Measurement Equipment for the open access laboratories.
