Description
This contract is to supply City of Wolverhampton Council with competent and capable consultants or fire risk assessors to support the Council to manage its buildings/environments (Live Sites and Future Buildings) as landlords in the provision of fire safety for property, environmental, asset protection and life safety. These include a broad spectrum of buildings, properties with sleeping accommodation, public buildings and environments across the city of Wolverhampton and a variety of building types and ages including listed buildings.
The Consultancy shall help the building's Responsible Person meet the requirements for Fire Risk Assessments under the Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) 2005 by undertaking related work as a "Competent Person" and offering clear guidance to The Council on their legal duties.
The scope includes the reviewing as part of the Fire Risk Assessment the design and construction of Live Site and Future Buildings. In addition, the administration, management and inspection of buildings, structures, environments and surrounding areas where relevant persons may reasonably be expected to be found.
• Fire Risk Assessments- The Council normally requires non-invasive fire risk assessments which cover the entire building
• Fire engineering advice - typically within the context of a refurbishment project, to assist in the formulation of an effective fire safety strategy
• General fire safety advice
• Fire door / compartmentation surveys
• Marked up fire strategy plans (where none currently exists or where plans no longer match the current building structure or usage)
• Review and manage internal (within the Consultancy) administration of the Contract
