Description
Permission was granted via Protocol 2a to call-off the Council's upcoming Modular requirements through the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Framework.
The scope of the project is as detailed below:
Demolition - The existing Nursery, Kitchen and Canopy are to be demolished as the existing site is being developed and new locations are being provided in the main building the areas will be surplus to the requirements. On completion of the demolition the area is to be levelled with all debris removed from site on completion. The existing area is to be developed and re-landscaped to provide additional playground area for the school
Modular Nursery Block - Installation of a new stand-alone Nursery block using offsite MMC. The building will be located adjacent to the existing Primary school western elevation and will have an external link with the main school via a covered walkway. The project includes all associated groundworks, drainage works, mechanical and electrical service works, decoration, and external landscaping to accommodate the new construction. Proposed works are being constructed as the result of the proposed demolition of existing Nursery building. The structure is intended to be used as a workplace; therefore, the finished design will need to take into account the Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992.
