Description
Cumbria County Council Community Learning and Skills is looking to develop a range of partnerships with subcontracted providers to help us:
• Provide additional capacity in specific curriculum and geographic areas not covered by our own community learning centres
• Specialist Provision (e.g. horticulture, STEM - science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, health and care)
• Provision to support rural isolation
• Specific target group - LDD, employability
Adult Learning are inviting submissions by training providers to deliver subcontracted provision to meet the gaps outlined in our rationale. This provision will consist of mainly accredited skills qualifications which must be available for funding on the ESFA Find a Learning Aim System - https://findalearningaimbeta.fasst.org.uk/
We will also procure a small proportion of non-accredited community learning provision in the Carlisle area only. This should link directly to the digital and core curriculum with clear progression pathways to accredited qualifications.
This contract is for the provision accredited qualifications and non-accredited courses in each of the six areas of Cumbria. The contract will be for a period of 1 academic year from 1st August 2022 to 31st July 2023.
Provision will be split into geographic lots outlined in paragraph 1.5 of the ITT. Providers can bid for whole geographic lots (Lot 1, Lot 2.....), sub lots (A, B, C.....) or multiples of both. .
The total contract value will not exceed £300k over the academic year.

Government has announced that Cumbria County Council and the six district councils are to be replaced by two unitary authorities with effect from 01 April 2023.
