Description

Contract awarded for 008786 - Servers, Storage & Backup Refresh (RM6098). Newcastle City Council (NCC) intends to refresh the Intel server, SAN and a portion of the backup infrastructure residing at both the primary data centre at NCC Civic Centre and secondary data centre at Sunderland. The Sunderland data centre is used as a backup site for disaster recovery and business continuity purposes; however, it is also capable of hosting active services. The sites are linked by a resilient pair of 10Gb ethernet connections.
