Description

The University of East London are seeking to appoint a contractor to provide website (Sitecore) technical support and back end development services to help support, develop and maintain a functioning and agile web platform for the changing needs of our University.

Our website sits on a Sitecore platform and we are currently using version 8.2.

Our web team provide a technical support service to our marketing and recruitment team to help optimize the performance of our website. We have two permanent internal members in our Web Team; a Web Manager to oversee and coordinate activities and a Front End Developer (currently being recruited).

We have adopted a number of strategies and team structures internally over the last few years to provide technical support, however, sustaining a viable in-house team has proven difficult.

Vacancies within our web team are currently being covered by contractors from an external company who provide specialist Sitecore developers. This arrangement has been successful and has allowed us to provide flexible resources during critical periods.

We would like to appoint a suitable partner to provide Sitecore support and development resources for our website on a 2-3 year contract basis. This arrangement will mean that we can deliver a more effective and resilient service and offer better value for money.

We expect this contract to begin in March 2018 for a period of 2 years with the option to extend by a further two periods of 1 year (2+1+1).
