Description
The Council wishes to engage a suitably qualified and experienced consultancy firm to advise on the approach it should take to procure a corporate mobile telephony solution. The Council is operating in a rapidly-changing environment where flexibility, agility and cost reduction are key. Innovations in front-line service delivery are increasingly dependent on resilient, performant mobile telephony services so maintaining adequate service levels is essential. The Council does wish to explore models for delivery of mobile telephony.
Consultants will therefore be expected to gain an understanding of the Council's future business requirements for mobile telephony through interviews with a small number of key service representatives. Alongside this careful consideration will need to be given to the efficacy of existing provision and where service level improvements can cost-effectively be made. Flexibility to respond to changing business needs and an ability to adopt new mobile telephony technologies as they develop, will be critically important, as is the clear need to generate revenue savings.
The main deliverable from this work will be a strategic plan/report which sets out a recommended approach for the procurement of the above services for replacement and development of the Council's mobile telephony (and associated service).
