Description
The scope of the contract is the design, manufacture, assembly, supply, testing, delivery, installation and commissioning (without X-rays) of an electron analyser system to be installed and used at on the I21 beamline at DLS.
The electron analyser system will be procured under a contract subject to this performance specification. The electron analyser system is defined as:
1. Hemispherical electron analyser.
2. Detection system.
3. Sample chamber.
4. Associated power supplies.
5. Control and data acquisition software and hardware (including control workstation).
6. Installation and functional test as well as final performance test at DLS.
7. Removable bakeout system (optional).
8. Support structure for analyser and sample chamber (optional).
9. UV source (optional).
10. Sufficient spare parts with long delivery times to guarantee operation of the system with minimum down-time for a period of at least 2 years from the date of final acceptance (e.g. any specialised UHV flange gaskets or seals).
Details of optional items:
1. A removable bakeout system, including temperature control and power supply, for the hemispherical analyser (including its detector) and the sample chamber may be included as an option and costed separately.
2. The support structure for the analyser and sample chamber, which should provide a means of moving the whole system by 3 mm vertically in a repeatable manner (see Section 3 of Technical Specification for more information), may be included as an option and costed separately.
3. A UV source may be included as an option and costed separately.
Due to the nature of this procurement lots are not appropriate.
