Description

Birmingham City Council requires a supplier for the provision of the supply of Noise Nuisance recorders for the purposes of unattended noise monitoring. The Council anticipate the purchase of six instrument to replace existing units and may purchase up to four additional units should further need be identified.

The contract is to supply Noise Nuisance Recording instrumentation which are used for the purposes of nuisance complaint investigation to support the Council's duties / obligations under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and must be of a specification to permit the Council to discharge this function.
Noise nuisance is determined subjectively based on the following:
o Time and date of the disturbance
o Duration of disturbance
o Nature / source of disturbance
o Location of premises - (Belgravia v Bermondsey)
o Volume of disturbance

This contract will be for a period of 3 years commencing upon award until 31 March 2021.
