Description

The University of Manchester (SHRL) wishes to purchase a ToF-SIMS tool that will provide the Henry Royce Institute (Royce) and the University with an internationally leading SIMS capability. The tool will be used to provide a characterisation service across the broad range of activities within Royce with the exclusion of active nuclear materials. Details of these, arranged into nine research areas, can be found on the Royce website: www.royce.ac.uk. The tool will also provide a characterisation capability to researchers undertaking research, principally within the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) remit which extends beyond that covered by Royce.
