Description
Nishkam Civic Association is inviting tenders for the design, supply and installation of a new commercial boiler flue system and associated enabling works at the Nishkam Centre, 6 Soho Road, Handsworth, Birmingham, B21 9BH.
Please note the work we are procuring is partly funded by Birmingham City Council Via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) Due to the compliance and operational risk, an accelerated but fair tender process is being run.
To supply and install a new flue rising within existing twin wall flue riser to above roof level discharge. To supply and install new mechanical input and extract ventilation to boiler room in accordance with IGEM UP10 and BS 6644:2011,
both ducts connecting to new weather louvre in existing low-level opening in boiler room.
The scope of works will include (but is not limited to): Removal and safe disposal of the existing flue system Design, supply and installation of a new compliant commercial flue system suitable for current boilers and future high-efficiency condensing cascade boilers Installation of mechanical input and extract ventilation to the boiler room where required.
All access requirements including scaffolding and lifting equipment, pressure testing, commissioning and certification, recommissioning of boilers following completion of works.
Works will take place in a live community building, and contractors must demonstrate experience of working safely in occupied premises and have relevant accreditation.
