Description

Unite Procurement UK Limited (part of Unite Holding SE), on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, is seeking suppliers to join the Mercateo Procurement Platform to support the provision of specialist outdoor, technical, and expedition equipment and apparel for use by the Ministry of Defence and associated organisations.

The Mercateo Procurement Platform (www.mercateo.co.uk) offers a compliant route to market for UK Public Sector organisations to manage low-value, high-volume procurement.

Scope of Requirement:
The requirement includes, but is not limited to, the supply of:
• Technical clothing and base layers for varied climates, including thermal and insulated garments, tops, trousers, and expedition-weight apparel
• Outerwear such as windproof and waterproof jackets and trousers, salopettes, dry suits, wetsuits, caving and expedition suits, softshells, hardshells, mountain biking and specialist over garments
• Headwear and accessories, including beanies, balaclavas, hats, buffs, gaiters, face masks, helmet accessories
• Gloves and mitts for technical, mountain, water, and extreme cold use
• Footwear: mountaineering boots, approach and climbing shoes, ski and snowboard boots, mountain bike, canoe and kayak boots, socks, gaiters
• Climbing and safety equipment: harnesses, helmets, carabiners, ropes (dynamic, static, accessory cord), pulleys, ascenders, descenders, crampons, ice axes, belay devices, slings, rescue and safety systems
• Camping and expedition gear: tents (various sizes and ratings), sleeping bags (down-filled, multi-season), bivvi bags, camping mattresses, shelters, rucksacks, dry bags, hydration systems
• Navigation and safety devices: compasses, GPS, altimeters, avalanche safety gear, transceivers, probes, torches, beacons, radios, first aid kits
• Water sports equipment: kayaks, canoes, paddles, buoyancy aids, spray decks, dry bags, rescue lines, helmets, pogies, and related accessories
• Paragliding equipment: paragliders, harnesses, rescue systems, helmets, altimeters, variometers, radios, safety gear
• Skiing and snow sports equipment: skis, boots, bindings, poles, skins, crampons, shovels, avalanche probes, goggles, sunglasses, maintenance tools
• Miscellaneous: multi-tools, knives, cleaning products, repair kits, storage solutions, and other expedition accessories

This list is not exhaustive and may include additional products required for safe, effective, and comfortable participation in a wide range of outdoor, technical, and rescue activities. All products must meet relevant safety, quality, and technical standards for professional and expedition use.
