Description

Lancaster University wish to create a battery-testing laboratory within a professionally converted shipping container. We will use the laboratory to test commercial high-energy and high-power battery cells, which have either been procured from commercial outlets or supplied by industry partners. The cells will be either cylindrical, pouch or prismatic formats and will have been type tested to a commercial specification. Battery cells will be tested under real-world duty cycle and environmental conditions. The facility will not be used for battery abuse testing.
The laboratory be located within a standard 40ft High Cube 'single trip ' ISO standard shipping container and a store area shall be in an adjacent 10ft 'single trip' ISO standard shipping container.
