Description

The Tenderer should be aware that the works detailed in this package are constrained due to the nature of the location they are to be conducted in.

HM Naval Base Portsmouth
The Contractor shall be expected to adhere by the HMNB site security requirements, all Contractors and Sub-Contractors shall be BPSS security vetted and will be required to hold the relevant site security passes.
The Contractor shall be expected to hold the following levels of insurance £10m Public Liability, £10m Product Liability, £5m Professional Indemnity

Part of the UK Ministry of Defence's (MOD) Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP), KBS Maritime will provide technology-led and data-driven facilities management and dockside services at the base.
Project description
The service provider is to conduct asbestos removal and encapsulation at the following locations at Portsmouth Naval Base in accordance with the ACOP Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (L143) and HSG247 Asbestos: The licensed contractors guide they must also have an understanding of HSG210 Asbestos: Essentials.
The edited asbestos survey reports and asbestos register extract to identify the required works at each location will be provided at ITT.
The service provider shall be requested to provide details of the following at ITT:
- ARCA accreditation (Asbestos removal contractors association)
- Asbestos removal license
- Waste carriers license
- Professional indemnity insurance
- CHAS certification (SSIP - Safety schemes in procurement)
- SafeContractor certification (SSIP - Safety schemes in procurement)
- Internal quality control arrangements and organizational competence.
- Details of any HSE enforcement activities.

Evidence of training and experience of asbestos removal contractors to be provided at ITT including:
- ARCA operative identification number
- Operatives FTW (Fitness to work) Medical examination certificates
- Full face fit certificates.
- Half face fit certificates.
- IPAF Certificate
- WAH training
- H&S passport
- Operatives to comply with The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
