Description

The Sterile Services Department at UHCW is an NHS owned and operated "in-house" surgical instrument reprocessing facility which is accredited to ISO13485:2016 for the decontamination of surgical instruments and other reusable medical devices. The unit owns and operates its own decontamination equipment however the building is maintained by the Trusts PFI Partners.

In order to ensure that the surgical instruments are fully sterile and processed as required for their next use, the sterilization equipment must undergo regular maintenance, testing and validation to specific standards in order to be deemed safe for use.

This Procurement is for the maintenance, repair, testing and validation of the Trusts own decontamination assets by an appropriate ISO accredited engineering company.
