Description
The Homeless Reduction Act comes into force from April 2018 and this puts more statutory requirements on the Authority around homelessness and homeless prevention as well as monitoring requirements.
Barnsley MBC requires a robust and compliant IT /case management system which adhere to the new Homeless Reduction Act requirements. The system will need to be able to:
• Interface with customers - allowing them to update their personalised housing plans (PHP), upload documents and contact us via email via customer sited on Barnsley.gov
• Provide a full case management system, which supports case prioritisation, sets deadline reminders and can be easily added to.
• Allows management to have full overview of cases, reminders of deadlines, allocating cases and monitoring tools.
• Provision for a full case/accommodation matching system ie a 'Gateway' model.
• Have the potential to support advisors to undertake affordability checks, by analysing income and expenditure
• Ability to add all accommodation options into the system including private rented sector, leased, temporary accommodation, social housing etc.
• The provision of template PHP, assessment forms, standard letters relevant to the legislation
• Fully compliant with P1E returns back to CLG
• Full reporting and monitoring functionality
• Ability to process the Right to Refer notifications
• Ability to provide case level access to other agencies
• Compatibility of a number of devices both BMBC staff and customers break down in two areas.
• Ability to link/interface with other system.
• Training and support to staff
