Description

This opportunity seeks a costing, methodology and schedule of work to undertake paleoenvironmental analysis and remote sensing surveys of deep peat deposits located at Divis and The Black Mountain, Co. Antrim and from a small fen area located at Lisnabreeny Co. Down in Northern Ireland. One pollen sequence from each site is to be collected, processed, analysed, and dated and remote sensing survey (preferably Ground Penetrating Radar) to be carried out across deep peat deposits at both sites to determine and map the depth and extents of targeted deposits. The target area for the remote sensing is approximately 50 hectares, and the opportunity aims to achieve coverage as close to this figure as possible within the project timeframes and budget constraints. The Trust is seeking bids from a range of bidders as to their capacity, capability, economic standing, and relevant experience, as well as their proposed solution and price for meeting the requirements of the Opportunity. On appointment the fieldwork and data collection must be completed and invoiced by the end of February 2026 and the final report (incorporating all NT feedback) must be completed, submitted, and invoiced before the end of July 2026.

The tender is being conducted via the Proactis Plaza portal.
