Description

NOTE: This notice was updated on 04 May 2017 for the following reason: Tender ACT/04489 is hereby withdrawn.Provision of Heli-Lift Maintenance and Servicing Support at School of Army Aircraft Engineering. The Lynx Mk 7 helicopter used for training within the School of Army Aeronautical Engineering (SAAE) has a skidded undercarriage and as such requires aircraft type specific Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to be moved from position to position, be it within the hangar or out onto the dispersal. The Heli-Lift GSE is an electric motor driven transport device which is the primary method within SAAE as it is self-propelled and does not require a tug for moves over short to medium distances, which makes ground movement easier and safer. The Lynx aircraft will remain in use as a training aircraft and as such this Statement of Requirement (SoR) is for a maintenance contract to support the in use Heli-lift equipment within SAAE Lyneham. The Heli-lift will need to be serviced on a bi-annual basis by an approved contractor and provision made to repair ad-hoc faults within 24 hours of fault reporting during the working week. The contractor is to provide a bi-annual servicing inclusive of spares for the Heli-Lift Ground Handling Device. The Contractor will annually inspect and ensure the Heli-Lift Ground Handling Device charging equipment is safe, and fit for purpose.
