Description
The scheme is aimed at fencing off a series of 10 stone arches adjacent to Forster Square railway station in Bradford. Anti-social behavior has become an issue and the authority is looking to block public access by installing 3m high decorative corten panels. These panels have already been procured but have not yet been manufactured.
The tender is to seek prices for the fabrication and installation of a steel structure to support these panels. The authority has developed outline designs for the steel structure upon which these panels are to be attached. However further detail design work is required to complete the design. This will require design calculations to be provided to ensure the structure is safe.
The winning contractor will be required to collaborate with the panel fabricator to ensure that the two design elements are compatible and can be assembled as envisaged.
