Description

Lee Valley Regional Park Authority ("the Authority") has a requirement for remedial repair works to internal and external areas of the Lee Valley VeloPark, as well as remedial repair works to the bridge to the North-West corner of the Velodrome.

The Authority is the owner of the Lee Valley VeloPark and surrounding land on London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park situated in Stratford, E20 3AB. The venue was originally constructed in 2007/12 in time for the 2012 Olympic Games. Following completion of the Olympic Games the venue and surrounding land was part of the transformation works whereby major landscaping both soft and hard was undertaken. The original site was formerly housing, industrial and the Eastway Cycle track, as such further to the demolition and clearance the land that the Velodrome was built on can be classified as 'fill'. This has led to settlement of various elements of the building and surrounding land. This settlement is in line with the Engineers predicted movement over the time period and it is now believed that the settlement has completed and remedial works to the affected areas can be undertaken.
