Description

Introduction: This is an Invitation to Tender (ITT) with information, instructions and guidance provided in this document. Tender submission (consisting of the completion of the Online Supplier Questionnaire, Technical Response, and Commercial response documents) should be completed and returned by all Tenderers who wish to bid for the contract. Please note, throughout the Tender documentation the University of Nottingham will be referred to as 'UoN'.

Synopsis: The University requests tenders from sufficiently experienced and qualified suppliers to establish a contract agreement for the design, build, installation, supply, commissioning, and user training of a flexible and automated multiphoton laser system capable of performing Stimulated Raman Scattering microscopy for biological applications. The equipment will be integrated with an existing laser scanning confocal microscope fitted with a lock-in detection system and located inside the CONTRAST HydRa Imaging Facility at the University of Nottingham.

Objectives: To secure value for money goods and services for the University;
o Establish a contract which agrees quality, price, delivery timescales, installation schedule, and aftermarket services in accordance with the University's requirements.
o To maximise recycling, reduce packaging, and reduce emissions related to deliveries in line with our sustainable procurement ambitions.
o To enhance the environmental sustainability of the equipment infrastructure from strategic planning, construction, and usage to maintenance and decommissioning.
o Eliminate risk of Modern-Day slavery within the supply chains.

Estimated Value: Estimated value for design, manufacture, delivery, installation, warranty, import, and duty, is between ?150- ?300k + Value Added Tax
