Description
The AMS Contract will deliver a new AMS service that will:
Proactively monitor and provide alerts for Defra's applications / services
Manage, maintain and support over 250 business critical and non-critical applications that are currently managed by:
IBM under the e-Nabling contract;
Capgemini under the Master Services Agreement for Service Procurement (MSA);
other third-party contracts that will be included in this AMS Contract
On-board, manage, maintain and support new applications developed by:
internal Defra software development teams;
other third-party suppliers where they do not have an AMS capability
Manage Software as a Service (SaaS) and Commercial of the Shelf (COTS) Software
Provide a capability for minor application development work to support enhancements and continuous improvement
Transition applications from IBM, Capgemini and other third-party contracts to the new supplier
De-commission / transition applications where required.
Take on the management of third-party suppliers/licences (currently managed by IBM and Capgemini) for existing applications.
Transform the AMS services to meet the Future Mode of Operation requirements (option to be agreed)
Ensures application documentation is always current
Support the transition of the AMS services to the replacement supplier (at the end of the AMS Contract) in accordance with an agreed Exit Plan
